The Roanoke Collaboration Project invites you to join us for a critical public forum:  “Regional Resilience and the American Dream.” As the Roanoke Valley navigates a pivotal budget season, we are gathering the most collaborative minds from across the broader Roanoke Valley to move beyond the headlines and toward a shared vision for growth and prosperity.

Why Attend? This is not a typical “sit and listen” town hall. This is a high-fidelity collaboration session designed to align our civic foundation with our regional opportunities. You will:

     Gain a National Perspective:  Hear from Chris Morrill, Executive Director of the GFOA, sharing insights and fiscal best practices from a network of 30,000 finance professionals representing over 7,500 local governments across North America..

   The “Elder Circle” Dialogue: Engage with a panel of seasoned local voices, including Dr. Verletta White (Education and Youth Development), Rev. Dr. Bill Lee (Community & Health Services), Eddie Amos (Regional Innovation), Lucas Thorton (Affordable Housing) and Dr. Frank Shushok (Higher Education and Workforce Development).

     Shape the Agenda:  Participate in facilitated small-group discussions to identify the 2026 priorities for our schools, housing, and healthcare needs.
